On June 25, 2010 we went on a backpacking trip to Fish Bowls, in the Lockwood Valley area. This was a family trip so we had Moms, sisters, and even grandmothers make the trip with us.
We hiked about 2.5 miles the first night and spend the night at Cedar Creek campground. We woke up early on Saturday to beat the heat and hiked 3.2 miles to Fish Bowls. Although the bowls were mostly filled with sand, much to the dismay of the Hull clan who had been raving about the cliff jumping, everyone still had a blast swimming and playing in the water.
On Sunday we packed up and headed out on the final 6.2 mile leg. It was an easy hike but the hottest day of the weekend, 92 when we got to the cars.
The hike was a big success. It was nice to have the families along to see how the boys live on the trail. They are already begging us for another family trip.
